Barber-Collins Security Services Ltd.


Barber-Collins Security will be introducing mandatory online training to each member of the team.


Our goal is to exceed standard levels of security compliance and to continue improving our services with the ongoing changes in the security industry.

Training

The Ministry of Community and Correctional Services regulates Ontario's private security industry.  Their aim is to ensure security guards and private investigators in Ontario carry out their work professionally, effectively and lawfully.


All security guard applicants must undergo a basic training program and pass an official exam before becoming eligible to apply for a security licence. Once a guard has been licenced by the Ministry they are not required to complete additional training to maintain their security licence. 


Barber-Collins Security believes in awareness and education.  With the ever changing security industry, the only way to ensure that our guards meet the high level of service we offer to our clients, is to implement mandatory ongoing courses and training.


In May of 2014, each member of the Barber-Collins team will be required to complete online training modules that will provide each member with tools and knowledge to exceed the minimum standard of service.  These training modules may be directly linked to increases in wages and career advancement within our organization.


Here is a list of the different modules available for staff.    Each module is video enhanced for ease of use, and once each program has been completed successfully, staff will have the option to print off each certificate for their own records. Download list here:  Online Training Modules
